I'm Joao Figueiras an IEEE volunteer as many others. I am a telecommunications engineer with great passion for computer science. I am the responsible for this event.
I do believe a lot that cooperation is one of the best methods for achieving goals the break barriers. (maybe that's why I work on wireless cooperative communications!!). Cooperation does not only sums up indiduals' contributions, but it additionally introduces a positive and important factor to the final result.
My intention is to foster this cooperation and bring people together for the benefit of technology. With this event, I hope that the awareness regarding IEEE will increase, not only among engineers, but among everyone.
